…which is the permanent home for info on using the DVD. This site you're on now will remain the active blog for all other posts relating to the book, and to trouser-making.

I'm able to post this preview because the DVD master has been finalized and shipped, meaning that the package is DONE! Yay…!!!
So, it's all over but the waiting:)

I'll do my best to keep this space interesting and active while we wait; please feel free to chime in!

  1. David, I am just about bursting with excitement over your new book and the cd you demonstrated here. I have your previous cd 'On Making Pants' but would have much prefered a book to use directly on my cutting table. Now you have fulfilled my wish. I can hardly contain my excitement. The cd which you have demonstrated is quite extraordinary and like your Shirtmaking book, you have included all the information one would ever need. I just knew you'd come through with this book, but now I'm going to have to purchase a laptop for my sewing room so that I can use the cd on my cutting table as well! Such a laptop is long overdue.
Thanks ever so much for all the incredible amount of detailed work you have put into your books.
You taught me how to make shirts, now I am going to learn how to make men's pants too. I am a very happy woman.
I am now off to Amazon to pre-order my copy.

  3. Hi,
I bought the book and DVD but the videos embedded in the PDF file does not work because the link to the Adobe Mediaplayer is a dead invalid URL.
How can I get the embedded videos to play?

  4. Hello, and sorry about the problem. The trick is, you NEED to have Apple Quicktime installed on your computer when you view the pdf file in Adobe Reader; Quicktime is the media player it's looking for. So, just go here: https://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
...download and install the Quicktime version for your OS, then try again. Quicktime doesn't need to be running, just installed, and Reader will see it. You'll probably have to answer a "Do you trust...?" sort of security question the first time, then click the video again after answering Yes, then you should be all set. Good luck, and thanks for buying the book; questions welcome anytime, here or via email; it's on the disk:) HNY!
